Is there a common area on the back of the engine that will cause an oil drip? When the engine is running it will leak oil not at a fast pace but a drip constantly.

There are a few places that can leak oil. The most common are the valve covers and the rear main seal. The valve covers can leak and the oil will run down the outside of the engine and drip off. The rear main will leak between the engine and transmission and drip out from the bottom of the bell housing. Both will leak when the engine runs.
What I do is to wipe the area around the valve covers clean. Then stuff a couple paper towels around them and start the engine, if they are the source the towels will get oily quick. For the rear main, look at where the oil is dripping.
