When I try to start the car it continues to try but takes forever to actually start. Once it is going there is no problem until I try to start it again. I changed the fuel pump but that did not help. It seems like it is not getting enough gas to start it. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Good afternoon.

A couple of things to check.

Remove the hose from the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. See if there is any fuel in the vacuum line. If there is, the regulator is bad and needs to be replaced. It may be flooding the engine.

Also, the ERG valve. If the valve is stuck open, it will create a vacuum leak and be difficult to start.
