Won't start. It would start and run until you put it in gear. Then it would stall out. Now it won't start at all. Have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, MAF Everything I could think of. I don't know what to do. Can't afford to take it to a shop.

Hi,

In most cases, a crank no start condition is caused by either a loss of fuel or ignition spark to the spark plugs. Let's try something so we can narrow down the cause.

See if the engine starts if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is fuel related. If there is no change, I need you to check for spark at the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Also, here is a link you may find of interest.

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Tried both. Would run rough for a second with starting fluid. There is spark at the plugs.

Hi,

Based on that information, it isn't getting fuel into the engine. You indicated the fuel pump was replaced. Have you confirmed the fuel pressure is within the manufacturer's specifications? Here is a link that explains in general how it is done. Also, I attached the manufacturer's pressure specifications below.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

If the fuel pressure is within the specifications provided, then we need to check if the injectors are getting power and ground.

Each injector has two wires. One will be a pink wire (at each injector) and the other will be different from one injector to the other. With the key on, there should be power to the pink wires. Check that for me first. If there is no power, check the ECM1 fuse in the under-hood fuse box. Check the fuse and confirm there is power to and from it.

Do this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe
