Sorry that I didn't see your reply sooner.
First, read and record any diagnostic fault codes. Chrysler made doing that yourself much easier than any other manufacturer. Cycle the ignition switch from "off" to "run" three times within five seconds without cranking the engine, leave it in "run", then count the flashes of the Check Engine light. This article will tell you how to count the flashes, and what the fault codes mean. I can interpret those codes for you too:

If there are no fault codes related to the crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor, you'll need a scanner to view live data and see if one of those signals is missing during cranking.
Next, we need to see if the automatic shutdown, (ASD) relay is turning on. Connect a test light to the positive post of the ignition coil, or any injector. You should see it light up for one second when you turn on the ignition switch, then it should turn on again during cranking. If it doe not, one of those sensors has failed. That's not common on the 3.0L engine.
Let me know what you find.
