I acquired this car without keys as a "get it out of here". I went to the local dealer to obtain a new key based on the VIN. The key works to move the ignition switch and have been able to crank engine but there is no spark and can smell fuel coming through the engine. There are new coil packs, wires and plugs. There is power at the coils. The padlock light is lit on the dash and have tried the 3 x 10 minute wait but it would still not start. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello,

Can I ask if the security light (lock) is flashing when you try to crank the engine over? If so this guide will help us reset the security system. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

Please run down this guide and report back.
