Drove the car to work about 7:00am drove home again about 1:00pm went to the shop about 2:00pm everything fine no issues come out of the shop put key fob into the key reader nothing happens, only thing on dash is symbol saying press clutch +start but nothing happens. I can lock and unlock the car hazard lights work and interior light but nothing else works. I've been told to change crankshaft sensor and starter which I did do but on removing the starter I noticed a bolt from the starter had come completely loose and arc mark on the bolt lines up with the starter. I've checked battery it is showing 11.6v iv also had jump lead and even tried a booster pack and still nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so I have no schematics to review. However, I will try my best to help.

If you had a short at the starter, chances are a fuse or relay has failed. Have you checked? Also, just so I am sure, you do mean the starter isn't turning the engine, correct? If that is correct, that has nothing to do with the crankshaft position sensor. I'm not sure why someone told you that. If, on the other hand, the starter engages and the engine doesn't start, that could be the sensor but not the starter. That's why I'm confused.

Let me know as much as you can. Also, take a look at this link and let me know if it helps:

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
