No crank no start?

2003 FORD TAURUS
130,000 MILES • 3.0L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

The car listed above is a 6 cylinder (hit 4 cyl on accident). All lights come on when you open the door or turn the hl switch on but when you turn the key to crank all the lights go out and don't come back on for a while. It has a new fully charged battery. Bad ground or bad starter??

I'm not sure what you mean by you hit a 4 cylinder. Please explain.

As far as the issue, the symptoms sound like a classic connection issue with the battery. Are the terminals clean and tight? Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps:
