turn the key to crank it, it cranks, then shut down?

1999 CHEVROLET SILVERADO
287,139 MILES • 6.0L • V8 • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

I drive it for a few hours, might stop to store, gets in truck turn the key to crank it, it cranks, then shut down, it does it once in a while. Installed a new fuel pump, fuel regulator and new fuel filter.

I have seen the crankshaft angle sensor cause this, but we should run the codes.
