Ping noise

I have a 2005 Nissan Xterra 2WD with 38,000 miles and a V6 engine. I have noticed recently that when I turn sharply to the left I hear a ping noise. Just started happening within the last week. Any idea what it may be, before I take it to the dealership?

Get a radiator tester and pressure test! It will explain how to test for blown head gaskets, and other problem related to cooling system.
