This is a new truck to me. When I test drove it it sputtered and stalled out and the man who owned it ( an honest mechanic ) said it had just started doing that after sitting for a couple weeks at the flea market. He gave me a fuel filter and said that he thought it mainly needed to be driven. I have replaced the fuel filter ( pretty gunky and showed water ), put a water tratment in the tank, changed the spark plug wires, and sprayed the carboratoer to remove gunk. It keeps getting worse. Now I'll have to tow it to a mechanic. When it reaches a hill, or anywhere it needs fuel, it stalls. I also heard that there may be another fuel filter in the line somewehre. Anyway, can you help!

You say the truck was at a flea market and had been sitting for a couple of weeks, How long did it sit before it was at the flea market? When you changed the fuel filter did it have a varnish smell, When gas sits for so long it does go bad, when it does it coats everthing with a varnish like coating.
You probably put new gas in it all ready but try a can of fuel stabilizer and cleaner. It is different than what the call dry ice that removes moisture. I don't have the The fuel line cleaner should clean out the system. The fuel filter is located on the passenger side wheel well under the hood. Without starting the truck take out fuel filter and spray cleaner into the lines. Then reinstall the filter, this will get the cleaner into the jets of the carb to clean them.
