1994 Nissan Sentra Car isn't starting.

1994 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Manual 64,000 miles

Yesterday morning I went to move my car just a few feet so it wouldn't be in the way of the recycling that was out. A couple hours later I was going to head to school, but my car wouldn't start. It just made a whirring type of noise and wouldn't turn over. It has a half tank of gas, and I know the battery is fine and everything. My dad looked at it and he thinks the fuel pump is broken. Is that what the problem would be, or is there possibly another explanation?

You should have your alternater checked they can do it at places like Autozone and have your battery checked as well just to be safe

Turns out it was the fuel pump - we got the part and my fiance fixed it for me a couple days ago and my car is running great now. Thanks for your suggestions though!
