i need to replace the brake light switch and I dont know how to take the old one out

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Unplug the electrical connector from the brake light switch.
Loosen the brake light switch locknuts.
Remove the brake light switch.

To install:

Install the switch. Turn the switch to adjust the clearance between the pedal stopper and the threaded end; the clearance should be 0.012-0.039 in. (0.3-1.0mm).
Tighten the brake light switch locknuts to 9-11 ft. Lbs. (12-15 Nm).
Engage the electrical connector to the brake light switch. Make sure the brake light is off when the pedal is released.
