1992 Nissan Maxima Car struggling to acclerate

I just got my car running again after almost 6 months of sitting in the drive way I put it in the shop and had a new alternator and a new battery put in it everything was going good the car was driving smooth and everything but just this morning I took my kid to school and I noticed that it was not acclerating right it would like jerk and make this ticking noise coming from the engine so I really have no idea where to look I dont even think I am giving enough info for someone to help me but maybe someone out there can try and work with me to figure out what is going on thanks either way.
