Power window fuse location?

My power windows and locks stopped working. None of the controls on any of the doors seem to work except for the side view mirror controls. The power locks do still work with the remote though. Also, not sure if it's related but at about the same time, the front driver side door stopped opening from the outside but still works from inside.

Which fuse controls the power windows and door locks? Or should they all be pulled and inspected? Nissan does not have any fuses on the Altima that are labeled "Windows" or "PW" and there is no fuse box diagram explaining what each fuse is for in the owner's manual.

By the way, the factory installed fuses are not transparent and you cannot see a blown fuse just by looking at it so you will need to replace and test to determine if the fuse is bad. And without knowing which fuse controls the power windows you will NOT be able to determine if you have tested the right fuse.

I have the same problem - no power windows or door locks (but power locks work with key fob so power is getting to the locking mechanism) and I am desperate for a real answer.

Hello,

I have found some door lock and window wiring diagrams for you so you can check the fuses and do some checking of the BCM which drives the systems. Please check fuse #1 and #6 in the interior fuse panel (left side of dash)

Fuse panel diagrams (below) Please run some tests and get back to us so we can continue helping you.

I have a 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5L V6. The 12v outlet on my lower dash doesnt work. I cannot seem to find what fuse runs it. Ive looked in both fuse boxes but I just cant seem to find which one it is. I know this might not be the fix but it was in my old car. Any help on where it is or where I can find some info to find it?

Hey POTATOCANYON,

It looks like there are several fuses (9, 12 and 6) and two relays including the DRL module that controls the headlights.

Here is a guide and a diagram that will help you get the problem fixed.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

and

Please run some test and get back to us.

Best, Ken

If the used one is good then yes you can, fuse boxes rarely fail so it should hopefully last several years.

Hi, my name is Albert. I have a quetions. My A/c just broke down, and would like to find out where, and what fuse n# would be to be replaced. My mechanic, found -out that my air compressor might be out. Also, my mechanic advised me to find out if any of the fuses are to be replaced, before trying to buy a refurbished unit. That is a refurbished A/C compressor to be exact.

Hi there,

These are all the fuses for the heater A/C system, i would also be checking that the refrigerant charge is not low as this is often the cause of no A/C as if there is a leak the low pressure switch will shut the system down.

Here is a guide with the fuse diagrams below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Power for this is directly from the body control unit, check power at the pink/black wire going into the dome light, if no power there check that there is power at the body control module pin #56 but if the step lams and spot lamps are working these share a common power supply.

There is a fuse box diagram on the back of the fuse box cover. We don't have fuse box diagrams in our service manual database for this reason.

First have the trouble codes pulled. Any Advance Auto or Auto Zone will do this for free.
You might want to check the fuel pressure if no codes come up. The same parts stores will loan you a fuel pressure test kit.
