Hello,

I'm having a trouble with with my altima in that after driving for a long time (either highway or stop and go) the car will @ some random point not accelerate past 20mph even though the engine will rev up if you step on teh accelarator. IF you turn off the car and wait about 5 or 10 minutes the problem goes away for a while. It's seems to be random other it happens after the car has been on for a while. Any ideas?

Hi there,

have you done a scan as yet? Keeping in mind that not all fault will set a MIL.

Hi Mark,

If by that you mean if a computer scan has been done no. I don't own one and the dealer wants 250 just to tell me what the problem is. I wanted to see if someone maybe knew what it could be without having to go to the dealer first. Someone had told me it may be the oxygen sensor.

Hi there,

I believe that some of the larger parts outlets like pep boys will scan for free, wort a phone call, we can't second guess these faults.
