1997 Nissan Altima excessive cranking

What could be cause my engine to be excessive cranking before it starts?

Check the coolant temperature sensor-this the one suppose to give you gas during initial starts. If okay check fuel pressure with a gauge no eyeball method it has to be done with a gauge and comeback with the readings.
