My A/C stopped working and then about a week later my car wouldn't start. I have power everything working inside the car including gauges. I took out the alternator and battery and had them tested at O'Reilly's but they both can back as good. I can also hear the starter engaging when I try to crank it. I'm at a total loss right now. This is my transportation to get my wife back and forth to the hospital due to her health problems and work. Please help me! Tia

Hi,

In most cases, a crank no start condition is caused by one of two reasons, a fuel issue or an ignition issue.

Since the starter motor is engaging and turning the engine, I need you to try something for me. See if the engine starts for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then we know its fuel related. If there is no change, then it is likely ignition related.

If there is no change with starting fluid, here is a link that explains how to test for ignition spark:

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

How do I use starting fluid on a fuel injected car? I've only done it on cars that have a carburetor.

Hi,

Rather than a carburetor, you have a throttle body on the vehicle. That is where it is sprayed. Inside the throttle body.
