Engine starter not working?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Does the starter engage? Also, if it does but the vehicle fails to start, a weak battery can cause either fuel or ignition to fail. Have you tried a different key?

There is a relearn process to reprogram the PATS system, but it requires special tooling to do.

Let me know what you have tried so far.

Welcome back:

Okay, I may have misunderstood you, too. When you try to start it and it won't start, does the starter engage and turn the engine?

If that is the case, the starter doesn't engage but everything else turns on, take a look through these links and check the starter itself, the starter relay (under hood fuse /relay box) and check to make sure there isn't excessive corrosion on the battery terminals or a loose one.

The problem occurred after deleting all the keys.

I have programmed two keys.
We used abdites avdi, zedfull, tcode, vcmm dealer.
The device shows that the keys are programmed but PATS on dash flashing.

Battery and terminals are new I have already replaced the starter relay. I have not yet replaced the starter, I was not sure if it would act up, most of the time mine has just went out, but back to what happens when I turn the key or remote start, all the lights work on the dash, headlights work, nothing ever dims, no clicking sound there is just nothing, then I wait 15 minutes more or less and turn the key and it will start, never any codes or nothing, it really confuses me, lol and I really do appreciate you taking your time and trying to help me figure this out.

Welcome back:

The code you have indicates there is either a power or ground issue at the PCM (see Pic 1). Have you disconnected the connection to check for corrosion or a damaged pin?

If you want to check the starter, here is a link that shows how. You need to check if there is power to smaller wire on the starter.

Let me know.

Welcome back:

Your the man! I didn't even think it was possible if there was corruption. Regardless, today you are the teacher and not me. I'm glad you got it fixed and let me know. I'm sure others will benefit from your experience.

Take care,
Joe

Can you describe the noise you heard? Will the engine crank if jumped? Have you checked the oil to make sure it is full and clean?

This guide should help us

CHICKEN OR THE EGG?

I THINK YOU HAVE ONE OF FOUR POSSIBLE ISSUES

1) STARTING OUT WITH THE MOST TERRIBLE, YOU MAY HAVE AN ENGINE PROBLEM, AN EXAMPLE IS: HEAD GASKET HAS LEAKED RADIATOR JUICE INTO A CYLINDER(S) SINCE WATER CANNOT BE COMPRESSED, THE ENGINE STOPS TURNING

2) NEXT TERRIBLE, YOUR STARTER MAY BE SHOT. HOLD OFF ON IT, TILL YOU TRY "3" AND "4" FIRST. YOUR STARTER CAN BE REMOVED AND BE "BENCH TESTED" AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE

3) 3 & 4 ARE ABOUT EQUAL, HOWEVER "3" MAY STILL COST SOME $$$, REMOVE THE BATTERY AND TAKE IT TO A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE. NORMALLY THEY WILL FULLY TEST IT FREE OF CHARGE, SOME PLACES WILL EVEN CHARGE IT FOR FREE, IF THATS WHAT IT NEEDS.

4) BEING THE LEAST EXPENSIVE (SMALL NOTHING KINDA PARTS COULD BE NECESSARY) MOST OF THE TIME THIS IS COMPLETELY FREE BUT WILL REQUIRE "SOME EFFORT" ON YOUR END. TO KEEP MY PECKING TO A MINIMUM, I HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN THIS AND INCLUDED A FEW PICS. PLEASE SEE "MY ANSWER" IN THIS LINK

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/1996-chevrolet-tahoe-wont-start-sounds-dead-battery-jumpbox-get-same-reults

YOU CAN TRY EITHER 3 OR 4 FIRST. I SUGGEST "3" FIRST, THEN IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, "4" WOULD BE THE NEXT STEP

DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION, THIS NEXT LINK, (PICS AT THE BOTTOM TOO) MAY WORK WELL, OR YOU MIGHT TRY TO SORTA MIMIC THE WAY IT WORKS AT ANOTHER AUTO STORE (MANY PEOPLE OVERLOOK THESE MONEY SAVERS) SHOULD YOU NEED A BATTERY, STARTER, OR ANYTHING ELSE, THIS CAN BE DONE IN THE PARKING LOT ON YOUR WHIZZY PHONE, BEFORE YOU JUST SPUR OF THE MOMENT MAKE A PURCHASE!

Hi, sorry my English. I write you from Venezuela
I have Ford Escape 2007 automatic, motor 3.0 It have a problem to starting the engine.
When engine is cool, I try to starting, the level is in P, but the display show me that is in “D”. In this moment the engine don`t start.
With the ingnition key pass, I wait any minutes (10 to 20), all indicator turn on/off anytime. Finally the display show me P and the engine starting.
When the engine is hot, I don`t have problem to starting the engine.

Ford dealer could not diagnose a problem.
