Starts, but cuts out

Hi guys
i have a vw polo combi 1992. My problem is; my car starts but cuts out imediatly. What can that be?

Will car fire up after it dies out with starting fluid, if so then perform a fuel pressure test, if its bad check the pump and change the filter! If not then it is not recieving spark. Ground #1 spark plug to see, should be bright blue sparks.
