ODB II port access

2002 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4 eng front wheel drive auto trans, AC. Where is the connection located to attach my ODB II code reader. The service engine light came on and the oil is good, low on gas, airfilter should be replaced soon (I think) 90,000 miles.

It should be under the dash on the right side of the steering wheel should have a cap on it.
