Hi, I am still having problems trying to start my 1996 Eclipse RS. It is a N/A 420a 2.0. It is still trying to start, but I don't know why it wont start. It turns over very well, it fires to the spark plugs. But when we try to start it 2 things occur. 1. When it is cranking, it sometimes backfires, what could be causing this? and is this a good sign? there is no exhaust on it yet. Just the header and down pipe. 2. When we do the spark test with the spark tool, we see an "Orange spark" not blue or yellow. Orange. What could this mean? could there be a fuel relay or pump problem?
I posted up what it sounds like on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMFSphZBq-8
