My 1991 mitsubishi eclipse over heated all of a sudden and died and now it won't start, wonder why?
I got out and looked and there was anti freeze under where the hose hooks to the wate rpump. It turns over but just won't start. Any ideals on what has happened? It's never just not started before. What do I need to do to get it to start?

First i must say love your user name. Anyway. if the engine got overheated baddly it will not have enough compression to start. Check the ignition spark

and fuel pressure

https://www.2carpros.com/how_to/how_to_check_fuel_pressure.htm

and finaly scan the pcm. I could be the temp sensor or a shorted injector. That could happen after the engine over heats..please let me know what happens

Hi Ken and thank you for getting back to me so soon. Well we checked the ignition spark and that seems to be fine. It's turning over fast just not hitting to start. Right now it's still setting along the road, I was hoping to get it started to drive it home. Could you tell me anything I might be able to do or try while it's setting there? I mean maybe new spark plugs or reset the relay switch or get a new one, anything like that, that I can do that might help get it started to get it home?

Hi again, I called all over the place. No one around here will work on a Mitsubishi.
I did check to see if they spark. All 4 did
it's like, no gas or something in it has shut off. Because it turns over fast, it just wont hit to start.
