Keeps sticking in gear, usually but not always in top. So for example when I come to a junction on setting off again it hasn’t changed down, so it starts off in top. When this happens on getting back up to speed cruise control doesn’t work, and the shift up / down by moving the gear selector to the left / right has no effect – it just stays in Drive.

Sometimes it won’t change up; again then the shift up / down by moving the gear selector to the left / right has no effect – it just stays in Drive.

However in both cases if I stop and switch off the engine on re-starting the problem is fixed.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Take this to your dealer as they will have to do a full diagnosis of this problem, they should start with a scan of the ECU for transmission fault codes, i feel that it may be an electrical problem may be a faulty shift solinoid, a scan should pick this up, start here.
