Truck starts and runs but with out any indication or warning the engine will stop and will not start untill the vechile sits for awhile. Will run for 200 miles or 1 mile, it is not concestent or predictable as to when it will happen and again there is no warning it just stops.
It is not a fuel problem I suspect ingition module in the distributor.

B2200-check the resistances of the distributor pick-up coil/ignition coil-this 2 checks out-control module. Make sure the coil is getting battery voltage.

Try to duplicate the problem and immediately check for a snapping blue spark.

Subject: b2200
coils has battery voltage and there is voltage to distributor no juice from distrib to plugs untill truck finaly starts very difficult to diagnose because when truck starts there is no problem and when it stops Im on the street somewhere cussing.
Im sure that there is a loose connection somewhere
It has to be either the ingniter or the ignition switch itself. If you have any other ideas please let me know
Thanks

Test the coil wire and also inspect the distributor cap and rotor botton it has to make thru here to get to the plugs. Try this put a test light on the negative side of the coil and crank engine over-is the test light blinking.

Also check the coil primary and secondary resistances
