changed fan belts, checked altenator, power steering,
and compessor pullies for bad bearings. Problem is the
belts squeals at eractic times. First starting up or traveling 65mph down the hwy. Last only 15 to 30 seconds. Had my mechanic check it out and found nothing wrong. Is there something else to check or could it be something else that may sound like a belt
slipping.

Belt squeals-if its not coming from a bearing-I'll recheck the drivebelts tension its probably still loose

I have a 1999 mazda protege se it developed a squeal on one of the belts,I tried several suggestions,in the end I noticed dirt had built up in the groves on the pulleys, cleaned the grooves and the squeal went away.
