I have browsed the internet and have read a lot about the transmission problems with Mazda vehicles.
I also read an interesting article in which the writer suggests installing an external transmission cooler to protect the transmission system.

How effective is this precaution and is it cost effective?

Also, where could you get this done? (I have checked with Pep boys and they dont do it)

Thanks,
adu

Its a wise idea for future use on towing purposes-your present radiator can do the job for normal usage-best preventive maintenance is to keep track with the fluid and filter normal or severe conditions. The same thing with oil change, not maintain wiil produce sludge and reduces engine life.

Back in my youngen days-when i change oil, I also change the tranny. You know am done there, might as well do both.My limit is 2500 miles then out she goes.
