Help! 02 Mazda 626...

77, 000 miles...for the past few days, I've been smelling exhaust and I've just notice that there is a small leak (under the hood). Also, when I accelerate I'm hearing this loud noise, almost like a putt-putt-putt. Any idea if all these things are related or if it's multiple problems? i've never had problems with this car before....

They are most likely related. You should have the exhaust leak taken care of ASAP. Driving around with the windows up could give you carbon monoxide poisoning

Thanks... Last night it dawned on me that I've had this awful headache for the past 3 days and I couldn't seem to get rid of it. I'm now thinking that maybe this has something to do with it. It's staying parked today but first thing in the morning I'm taking it in. Any idea what it might cost to repair an exhaust leak?
