2006 Mazda 6 engine light is on

Yeah my engine light is on.
i was just curious is there is a common occurence to why it comes on, it has been on constant for a little while now.

can it be an expensive fix or no

can it be done by myself

No way to know what tripped the light on or what needs to be fixed until you have someone get the code that turned the light on. Your local auto parts store or dealer can plug in a code reader and see what needs attention. Then you can decide if it is something you can fix or if you need to have it done by a shop.
