My 1983 Town Car will start up cold and run pretty well until it warms up. I suspected the coolant temperature sensor as well as the MAP sensor, both of which have been recently replaced. I decided to check the reference voltage of each and found that I have about 7.7volts on the CTS and about 9 volts on the MAP. From what I understand, the reference voltage from the PCM to the sensors should be around 5 volts. Does this indicate that the PCM is not sending the proper voltage to the sensors and is therefore faulty?
PS
After warming up, the idle is poor. The car will run well when hitting the gas, but with a slight miss at a steady speed.

Hi 83TC,
Thank you for the donation.
I have the table here for your reference.
Recheck the voltage. From your test, seems the CTS ( ECT) is way too far off. The MAP is slightly above the maximum of 8.4 v.
If the correct voltage is not provided by the PCM, mostprobably it is faulty.
