I just recently had the idle control valve replaced and now my car turns off when I come to a stop. I was told that the part has to adjust to the cars computer system and that this problem should go away shortly. It is a matter of my cars computer system recognizing the new part. Is this true in landrovers.

The car should run to preset values untill the computer has relearnt the correct settings from the new IAC. The vehicle should not be cutting out. Return the vehicle to the repair center and have them put it right for you !
