I would replace the coils and wires at the same time. ! To save you stripping it all down again in the near future?
COIL - IGNITION
Removal
Remove upper inlet manifold assembly. See GASKET -- INLET MANIFOLD.
Disconnect multiplugs from ignition coils.
Release High Tension (HT) leads from rocker covers and disconnect HT leads from spark plugs.
Carefully maneuver ignition coil assembly from between engine and bulkhead.
Noting their fitted position disconnect HT leads from ignition coil.
Remove 3 screws securing ignition coil to support bracket and remove coils.
Installation
Position ignition coil to support bracket, fit and tighten screws.
Connect HT leads to ignition coil ensuring they are in the correct position.
Carefully position ignition coil assembly between engine and bulkhead.
Connect HT leads to spark plugs and secure HT leads to rocker covers.
Connect multiplugs to ignition coils.
Fit upper inlet manifold assembly. See GASKET -- INLET MANIFOLD.
