We started our car and everything was normal, it idled fine and did not shake. However we pulled to the edge of the driveway and while pulling out on the road there was no power. No check engine light and the car did not stall. We coasted to the other driveway and pulled back in and hit the gas pedal and it worked. Could you please tell me what may cause this?

Good morning,

This sounds like it could be a fuel delivery issue for the fuel pump.

I would start by checking the actual fuel pressure to be sure sufficient fuel is being delivered to the injectors. You can rent a tester at a parts store for this. I posted the pressure required below for you to view.

Pressure
48 - 55 PSI

I also attached the procedure for replacing the pump. This one you can access from the trunk. You do not have to remove the tank from the car.
