IF you were my customer, I would suggest having it towed in when it doesn't start, or if the shop is willing, have them test it wherever you are when the no start happens.
Intermittants are a nightmare sometimes and likely the previous owner traded it in because of it.
I have seen a share of crank sensors and fuel pumps fit the symptoms on these. This may also be a ground issue. Regardless, testing needs to be done when the problem happens.
There may be codes stored in the computer that can shed some light.
When the no-start happens a fuel gauge should be hooked up to check pressure and a scanner installed to check for crank signal.
