There is a knocking as if I need oil and I really do not need any. The noise is driving me crazy. I have tried additives and quiet the noise. But its still there. Please can someone help me?

More than likely this is an engine knock that is caused by a spun bearing.

However, here is a guide that will help with this.

If this is a spun bearing, then we need to start with changing the oil to look for metal. Basically, drain the oil into a clean pan and then look in the bottom of the pan for any metal flake.

If there is metal in the oil, then we have a bearing that will eventually lock up, so we need to address it before this happens. The solution may be the same which is putting an engine in the vehicle but at least we will know what the issue is.

I am attaching the info below from the manual that will help identifying a bearing issue.

Please run through this and let us know what questions you have. Thanks
