Wipers

Have a 2001 Kia Rio. Wipers have stopped working. The motor can be heard when the wipers are turned on, but the blades do not move. Is it still the motor?

It may need some disassembly, but it sound like the wiper transmission is disconnected. That is the linkage between the wiper arm pivots and the motor.
