I have a 2006 Kia Rio Hatchback. Under warranty. Took in and mechanic couldn't hear the noise. It sounds very obvious to me. When turning, especially hard, there is a definate "click click click" coming from the driver side tire area, the vibration of which you can feel in the steering wheel on a tight turn. Is this a normal noise? When my Neon did this once it was the tire-rod, but the mechanic says it all checked out. It didn't make this noise when I first bought it. Any ideas?

sounds like it maybe a defective cv joint though with the mileage and age you described you may hear it alot better becouse you know its new and still under warranty so your very picky about it it may seem abvious to you but the mechanic may only be looking for more serious problems take it back again and again they will find out whats wrong if only so they dont have to look at your car anymore i hope this helps
