I have a 1987 Jeep Comanche p/u with over 100+ mileage,4cly standard. The problem is it starts and runs fine...for 10 or 15 min and justs stops running, wait maybe 45-1 hour and it can be started right back up-no sooner. The coil checks out good and have replaced the ignition module, still have the same problem, anything? Thanks.

your trouble is most likely your crankshaft position sensor, that is what happens when it gets bad.
It is a hard sensor to change,it is on the trans bell housing on the top, with a few extensions on your rachet you can get to it

I agree with "rmaser", I had the same problem with my 1989 Jeep Pioneer truck I6 engine. It's tough to get to, but easy repair. On an automatic unbolt the bracket that holds the transmission cable and let it hang down, that will give you enough room. (A swivel extension or a wobble extension makes it easier). Good luck, comanche21.

From comanche21 (per merlin2021 quote)
Did check the date! But there are probably more than one person with this problem and the more suggestions the better as the answer I gave solved the problem.
