in the past few weeks, Ive noticed that my 2002 Liberty Sport 2wd transmission has been a little rough and that it jerks slightly when I shift from park to drive and then back. Sometimes it seems that its a little sluggish in its get up and go. Not so much the engine itself but the transmission. That particular part comes and goes. About two months ago, i noticed that it was only slightly low on fluid so I figured at 60K miles, it wouldnt hurt to add a little Lucas tranny fluid additive to it. Could this be creating the problem? Ive checked my u-joints and they seem to be good and tight as there is no slack when i try to twist the shaft. Im thinking of changing the filter, refilling the tranny and changing the diff fluid. Would this be a good start to see what becomes of it? Please advise.
