See my profile, I can help you thru your whole problem. Just a few things we need to hit on before we know where to begin.

I'm a member just like you, UNPAID, but I have mega CJ experience, my own mechanic since I started driving in 1981, and I have only owned CJs as my primary driver!

What we need to establish 1st is the following:

Are you or someone on your end, somewhat of a auto minded mechanic?

Do you have a voltmeter? Know how to use it?

Do you have 12VOLTS at the POS side of coil, with key in the "ON" position?

Do you have POINTS or Electronic Ignition?

If points, do you understand how they work? Adjust? Totally comfortable with messing with them, or are you hesitant, really don't know, in your heart, how to mess with them, CORRECTLY?

Do you have a PAPER MANUAL to reference?

I need to know this stuff to continue, so I will know where we stand, thus far, and to what extreme, I need to instruct you! (I don't mind) just want to save time, if I can, to make your baby run sooner!

Reply soon, Here for the long haul!

Love, Turddog
