I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee laredo inline 6 with 123570 miles. Yesterday I noticed a scraping sound from what sounded like my front drivers side tire. I inspected underneath both drivers side tires for something caught or being dragged, but found nothing. The sound increases with speed, and so far I have been unable to figure out what is causing it. I would like to know if its something I can fix myself or if taking it to a repair shop would be best.

Scraping sounds at the wheel is usually brakes! Pull the tire and look for scoring of the rotor! Inside surface as well as outside! Check pad thickness.
