My cherokee for some reason will not start. When the key is turned to start the car you hear a click. The dash lights and all other electrical components work. When u you turn the key to the off position I hear several clicking noises coming from behind the dash and the rpm and speedometer needles willl go from 0 to there max position to 0. The baterry and starter are both good. Please HELP

Received a reply in regards to this posting from an individual. I checked the battery and terminals and replaced both prior to the original posting. This vehicle does not have an after market alarm, but does have a factory alarm. I am unsure how to disable this alarm unit. I pulled the fuse for the alarm and the fuse was not blown.
