The p1694 has to do with no communication between 2 modules. It is probably a symptom of po705. You may need a scanner to be able to diagnose this code. It has to do with the transmission control module not knowing what gear it's in by the gear selector. Fair chance of the transmission range sensor being bad. I would start by checking the connections at the transmission control module and the transmission range sensor for damage/corrosion first.
