2000 Jeep Cherokee Limited, 6 cyl, 88,000. My check engine light came on, so I took it to an auto parts store to have the computer scanned to get the trouble code. The code read: P0138, O2 sensor, circuit high volts (bank 1 sensor 2).

Question: How do I know which sensor (collector tube, before catalytic convertor, after cat.) Is refernced by "bank 1 sensor 2"? Also, with this many miles, should I just replace them all? Thanks

Sensor 2 is the one after the cat. Bank 1 means which side of the exhaust it is but ur jeep is a straight six so u only have one bank. With this in mind u only have 2 o2 sensors but some cars have 4 not ur's. Also with this many miles I would just replace them both.

Sorry to say this used up cliche', but good call runtich.
Bank 1 usually refers to the side the number 1 pisston is on, bank 2 the oppisite side. Being a straight 6 you only have one side to work on.
