UPDATE:
SUCCESS! I went through my Haynes Repair Manual, followed the instructions for relieving fuel pressure. Opened the gas cap, waited a few moments, then took out the fuel pump relay, started it, then it died (as the book stated that it would), then inserted the relay and it started right up. Any thoughts as to whether or not this is indeed a fuel pump problem?[/Quote:3e8a8be525]
okay- go find the fuel pump module connector- there be a dark grn and white wire is the power input to pump and plain black as ground-
get urself 2 wires that can reach the pump from the battery about the same thickness with wire connector-hook it up makes sure the pump is working before you fire it up-
Now observe and comeback with results.
Here's what's involved
The computer energizes the ASD relay at the same time the fuel pump relay comes in play-when the ASD relay energizes it powers the coil/pump thru the F/P relay.
Also u have a cam/crank sensors the deals with injection/ignition.
