1998 Jeep Cherokee Intermittant locking of doors

Electrical problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 105K miles

SOMETIMES as I drive around (sounds like) the doors will lock and unlock with the interior lights coming on and off. This problem doesn't happen all the time maybe 2 - 3 times a week and I am unable to identify any common condition. I thot maybe its related to the automatic safety locking system that happens when you first pull away (approx. 3mph). And just my luck it doesnt seem to happen when near a dealership.

Any Ideas or suggestions?

I have resorted to removing the fuse for the interior courtesy lights as it is quite irritating, if not illegal in the evening hours (lights coming off an on).
