I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that would just turn over and wouldn't start. Found the problem to be the Crankshaft Position Sensor. This is about a $60 part and the jeep will not start if this sensor of the Camshaft Position Sensor either one are bad.
Hope that helps.
