1996 Jeep Cherokee won't start

My 1996 jeep grand cherokee lmtd. Won't start did tune up. Cranks but no fire. Please help. Engine code 54 shows up. Cam shaft positioning no signal.. Tested all circuit. Changed cam shaft positioning sensor twice. Still cranks did start once ran for 5 min. Changed the sensor again. No luck. Help please. Keith

You checked the three circuits at the sensor, you do have ref voltage, ground, and signal? I'd also check the crank sensor, it shares ref voltage and ground with the cam sensor. Just a thought, do you have primary voltage at the coil and injectors, engine cranking?
