Engine starts first try in morning, after some driving and vehicle has been turned off. The engine turns over just fine, but won't start. Ruled out coil, fuel pump, starter, cilinoid, and replaced distributor yesterday. Vehicle is still having problems. If allowed to sit over night it seems to start fine next morning.

Well today I finally got it started by priming the carburetor, which makes me think that it is the fuel pump. And the crank shaft sensor hasn't been tested. What test would be needed?

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi, I'd Check the fuel Pump Pressure first. If Fuel pressure Is good, Something Wrong With Carb. To Test The crankshaft Sensor, You need A DVOM Meter, Put it On AC VOLTS MilliVolts, Low Range, As Someone Is Cranking Engine You Should Get A Reading Around A 200mvolts If I remember. But you will need To get The Specs For it.

Hope This Helps You,
Good Luck
