The boot / trunk / luggage compartment of my XJ6 is stuck and will not open. Is there a manual release hidden somewhere or any other way to release the lid? It seems like a problem with the latch not releasing what it's supposed to.

You may be able to open through the rear seat, take the seat out crawl into the trunk with a flashlight and screwdriver and needle nose pliers and get at lock assembly.
