A week later and 150 miles, I had to have the car towed in. Engine Light on again. Car slowed down as you were driving. Code (?) Revealed it needed A Throttle Neck Sensor. $1200.00. I looked it up and I see the throttle neck sensor was aproximately $250-$300. They said it can't be broken up in parts like that it comes in one piece and the cost is $1200.00 for the additional part what ever that is.
I'm in shock. I had to come home and lay down.
What I received in the mail today was an Emission Recall J004 -Emissions Calibration -Jaquar to reconfigure ECM using WDS
I saw that somewhere. I looked at my bill from last week and saw that the ECM was also reprogrammed at N/C on the car.
My question:
Could the reprogramming cause a false reading or possibly cause something like to happen?
Can it be programmed back?
